In the fall of 2024, TCMA’s move to a more traditional program was supported with several administrative changes. This included a goggle business listing, a new website, and better coordination of activities with The Woodlands Recreation Center. We are excited to announce the changes have led to a major growth in the program. With a larger student base, TCMA can offer additional training opportunities. Check the website in the fall for new classes.
TCMA hosted the 16th annual World Tai Chi Qigong Day gathering at The Woodlands Recreation Center, Rob Fleming. The event had the largest attendance since the Covid 19 shut. Three new schools joined in the event this year for a total of seven tai chi/Qigong groups. Several of our pre-Covid activities will be returning next year.
Sifu Neighbors will be featured speaker again this year at the Adaptive Technology Conference in Austin, Texas in September. In addition to speaking about tai chi and how it is adapted for people with disabilities, he will lead multiple shibashi classes.
Kung fu and tai chi training is now offered in a private and semi-private program. Private lessons allow for a more individualized training.
