A young man came to the master and asked “Master, how long will it take me to become a black belt?” the Master replied ” Four years.” The young man thought that four years was a long time. He asked the Master, ” If I worked every day and studied hard, how long will it take me to become a black belt?” The master looked at the young man and said “Six years.” Confused, the man asked, “If I practiced all day and night and worked very hard?” The Master replied “10 years!” Now upset, the young man asked the master why it is that if he worked so hard, it will take so long. The master answered, “If you have one eye on the destination and only one eye on the path, how can you find the way?”
