The Woodlands Recreation Center and Tai Chi Martial Arts (TCMA) will be hosting the 23th Annual World Tai Chi and Qigong Day (WTCQD) in The Woodlands, Texas.

WTCQD is a worldwide event involving 80 countries and all 50 states. The purpose of this event is to introduce the general public to the health benefits of tai chi and traditional Chinese medicine. In addition, it is a chance for tai chi students from different schools to come together in a cooperative event and share different aspects of tai chi.

The gathering will meet on April 30th 2022 at The Woodlands Recreation Center,  Rob Fleming in The Woodlands, TX. It begins at 9:00 AM and will last until 12:00 PM.

The general public is invited to watch tai chi demonstrations by local schools and to participate in the WTCQD activities, including free tai chi, push hands and qigong workshops. The public will also have the chance to join in a group tai chi demonstration with the participating organizations.

Welcoming the Chinese Year of the Rabbit

Every new year brings a hope for a better future and a chance at a new beginning. Now is the time to make the change in your life you have been wanting.

Our yearly qigong class begins the first week of the month and runs from January through the end of March. This is a month-long class that can be repeated to refine the movements.

We are offering Exercise with Tai Chi for those who wants the health benefits of tai chi without having to learn the forms. The Exercise with Tai Chi class is another month long program that may be repeated. It is offered in January and February.
